Enjoy Parrots GPS

Birds are built to fly. There is nothing nicer to see your buddy fly through the air like a rocket. But just enjoying a nice day together with you free in the garden is of course also absolutely wonderful!

Because of the bond you have formed, your parrot will gladly fly back to you, but originally parrots are prey animals, so they can be startled by something and then flee away. Because of the tremendous speeds they can reach, they may suddenly find themselves far out of your sight range. Because birds have a high burn rate, without suitable food they will weaken quickly. The faster you get back to your bird, the better chance you have of finding your bird healthy and safe to take home.

With the Enjoy Parrots GPS you can equip your bird with a GPS tracker/transmitter with which you can quickly trace your bird through the App.

The Enjoy Parrots GPS combines the telephone network and the GPS satellite system to send the GPS location of your bird to your cell phone. All you have to do is install the App for Android or IOS on your cell phone to receive your bird's GPS positions. You can even record the flights and share them with your friends!

For the App, you pay a yearly subscription fee of 55 euros. In the box of the GPS you will find the instructions to download and install it on your phone.

The following variants Enjoy Parrots GPS are available:

- The light version: weight 9.5 grams, in combination with the Easy Harness also suitable for smaller birds such as Pyrrhurras and mouse parakeets.

- The super strong version: equipped with a high resistance aluminum casing. Weight 10.9 grams. Suitable for larger birds such as Macaws and larger cockatoos.

To mount the GPS on your bird you can choose from:

- The Enjoy Parrots Easy harness, available in sizes XS (from Pyrrhura) to XL (large macaws)

- The Enjoy Parrots Super Easy harness: available in sizes S (from Caique) to XL (large macaws). this harness is specially designed to fit the GPS even better to the body of the bird: highly recommended for frequent flyers!

- The Enjoy Parrots tail clips: you mount them on the large tail feather of your bird. no harness is then needed; complete freedom for your bird! The ultra light clips are made of high resistance aluminum and can not be demolished by your bird. If the feather falls out during moulting, you can mount a new one with the special pliers.

The GPS unit is equipped with a rechargeable battery, with transmitter charging indicator. Blue LED above 40%, red LED below 40%. The battery level is also displayed in the app. The expected battery life with a fully charged unit averages 2-3 days, depending on how heavily the GPS is used. As a rule of thumb, always fly the bird with a fully charged GPS unit. To make the Enjoy Parrots GPS as light as possible, the GPS unit has a built-in motion detector. If there is movement, the GPS will give a signal every 10 seconds, if the bird is sitting still the unit will give a signal every 60 minutes. Because of this clever technology, only a small and therefore light battery is required.  

The antennas are only up to 7.5 cm long and are easy to replace if damaged. Optionally, extra reinforced antennas are also available.
